This deck had one of the largest damage caps in the game and was one of the most consistent decks of its time. With the ability to evolve on turn one, attach 3 Energies with the use of Mega Turbo on turn one, utility of Sky Field allowing M Rayquaza-EX to hit for 240 damage as early as turn one, and draw power of Hoopa-EX + Shaymin-EX + Jirachi-EX, this deck often times felt unstoppable! The deck also had plenty of room to spare for disruption and meta counters. Giratina was used to shut off the likes of Greninja, Trevenant, and Carbink decks. Karen alone won games vs Nightmarch and Vespiquen players that used too many resources in the early game, and Ghetsis and Hex Maniac were both disruptive cards that effected any and every deck in the game. (Both of which could win games as early as turn one!)

Unlike Alex's build, who wasn't as worried about the Nightmarch matchup, Chip's build included a Seismitoad-EX. Whether Seismitoad was taking KOs or not was often irrelevant. (though Seismitoad OHKOs 30HP Joltik) As long as Nightmarch players were unable to use items to get Nightmarchers into their discard pile, they weren't doing much of anything and would often fall too far behind to win the game. The same went for the Sableye Garbodor matchup, another item-reliant deck that can't play the game under Quaking Punch.
