• The 2010 US National Championships was held in Indianapolis for the first time ever. This was also the first Nationals that was a three-day event where anyone was welcome to play, additionally event registration was free. Registration was gaurateed to the first 640 players that showed up, though more than 850 players were permitted into the event.

• Friday consisted of 9 rounds (Best of 3), in which the Top 128 players moved on to a brutal single-elimination Top Cut on Saturday, saving Sunday for the remaining Top 16 players.
