June 24 - 26, 2022
Columbus, Ohio
Greater Columbus Convention Center
400 N High St• The 2022 North American International Championships returned to Columbus for a forth year in a row. (Not counting the two-year hiatus due to covid.) It was a three-day event where anyone was welcome to play, though there was a hard cap in place that filled up within a single day, nearly a month before the event took place.
• Day 1 consisted of 9 rounds (Best of 3), in which 1,153 players competed in Day 1, seperated into two different pods. All players with 19 match points moved on to a combined Day 2. (132 players competed in Day 2) Day 2 consisted of 6 additional rounds of Swiss, resulting in a cut of Top 8. Top 8 & Top 4 matches were played out that night, saving each division's finals for Championship Sunday.
