1 Park Blvd, San Diego CA• The 2009 Pokémon World Championships took place in San Diego for a second time. It was a two-day event, 3 counting the LCQ. The main event consisted of 7 Rounds, followed by a single-elimination Top Cut of 32 players on Sunday.

~ Players that placed Top 'X' at their countries' National Championship, (varied by country), earned an Invitation to Worlds. (ex. Top 8 players at NA Nats, Top 4 at UK Nats)
